You can use search automation to produce analytical results, for example to automate a report that you wish to receive on a regular basis.

HOW: If you wish to automate a search, chart or report for analytical purposes, selecting a date range in the WHEN filter is recommended.

For example, if you wish to automate a Monthly Summary Report to analyse appearances of ads on a monthly basis, you should:

select Summary Report as your Analysis Output mode, with your desired report breakdown and layout options
select any other search criteria you may wish to use, e.g. Countries, Categories or Brands
select Last Month in the WHEN filter and save your search with Relative Date option. The Relative Date option ensures that the date range of your monthly report will shift automatically every time it runs (e.g. it will cover July when it runs on 1st August, it will cover August when it runs on 1st September, and so on.)
schedule the search to run Monthly automatically, in your desired document format (e.g. Excel)
